Risk Management Courses for Hotel Restaurant Management

We are offering a series of courses that are structured to assist you in protecting your investment/business.

These courses are required by law to ensure compliance with OSHA and The Health Departments in your areas.

Food Safety Course

This course will provide you with the ability to meet the PIC (Person-in-Charge) requirement for your location. It will also assist you in building your Reasonable Care Defense for your establishment.

ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Certification

The ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Certification Program leads the way in providing the foodservice industry with an up-to-date, comprehensive food safety training and certification program. The NRAEF holds the highest standard and is recognized by more federal, state and local health jurisdictions than any other Manager Food Safety Program in the United States.

ServSafe® was created by industry experts using an exclusive Job Task Analysis that defines the knowledge every Food Safety Manager must know. It builds upon an established track record of superior training and a heightened awareness of foodborne illness prevention with the latest scientific best practices and proven instructional techniques.

The program was developed to ensure that Managers learned essential food safety practices and it delivers tools that will help them share their knowledge with hourly employees. This will establish food safety at every level of your operation. Food safety impacts your guests, your employees and your business.

In this ALL-INCLUSIVE 2-Day ServSafe®- Essentials "NEW" 5th Edition course participants will receive:

• 2007 Supplement to the 2005 FDA Food Code updates
• The Sanitation Challenge - Managers will learn the dangers of foodborne illnesses, how to prevent them and the keys to food safety.
• The Flow of Food Through the Operation - Managers will discover how to prevent cross-contamination and how to utilize time and temperature control effectively.
• Finally, your Managers will cover the way to keep employee training ongoing, to keep food safety working in every operation.

By taking and passing the ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Certification class you meet the Ohio Department of Health's regulation requiring a Person-In-Charge with applicable knowledge is present at the establishment during ALL hours of operation.

The ServSafe® Food Safety Manager Certification 2-day Course is being offered on the following dates in 2010:
January 19th and 21st 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
February 16th and 17th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
March 23rd and 24th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
April 13th and 15th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
May 18th and 20th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
June 15th and 16th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
July 20th and 22nd 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
August 24th and 26th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
September 14th and 15th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
October 19th and 20th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
November 16th and 18th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)
December 14th and 15th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (both days)

==> Training location is at the Skyline Chili Training Facility located at: 4180 Thunderbird Lane, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.

==> Cost for this Course is $175 per participant (Your fee includes a Course Book, Handouts, 16 hours of training, Certification Exam, FREE parking, Snacks and Beverages).

==> Successful participants who pass the ServSafe Exam receive a 5-year Certification for Ohio and 3-year Certification for Kentucky.

Safe Alcohol Service Course

The ServSafe Alcohol® course is designed to train all members of an establishment including servers, hosts, bouncers, and bartenders. It will also assist you in building your Reasonable Care Defense for your establishment.

In this ALL-INCLUSIVE two-day course each participant will receive:

• Alcohol Law and Your Responsibility as a Seller or Server of Alcohol
• Recognizing and Preventing Intoxication
• Checking Identification
• Handling Difficult Situations

The ServSafe® Alcohol Course is being offered on the following dates in 2010:

Thursday, March 11th 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Tuesday, September 7th 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.

==> Cost for this Course is $75 per participant (includes Course Book, Handouts, 4 hours of training, Certification Exam , FREE parking, Snacks and Beverages).

==> Successful participants who pass the ServSafe Alcohol Exam receive a 3-year Certification.
