Culinary Classes
Spring session cooking classes at the Midwest Culinary Institute are held in the extremely well equipped kitchen used for professional training. Some of the classes (most cost $59) are taught by local chefs and restaurant owners, others by MCI instructors.
A Few Highlights:
A taste of Scotland from Patricia Helfenstine of Nicholson’s Tavern; Chinese Appetizers with Mike Wong of Oriental Wok; Cake Decorating with Moe Thie; the Vegetable Table – for Omnivores, Too! with Chris Keegan; and Spring Favorites from the Palace with Romy Jung. All classes are hands-on. Also, Master Sommelier Matt Citriglia is teaching one of his thorough, four-session series on wine comprehension. MCI is also offering summer camps for kids.
